South European Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Research is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, structured reviews, short communications, letters to the Editor, case reports, current topics and clinical articles in English. SEJODR aims to be the one of the most prestigious journals of dental research within all aspects of orthodontics and craniofacial basic science.
All papers submitted for publication in the SEJODR are subject to assessment by two or more independent referees in a double blind review process, in which neither the authors’ nor the reviewers’ identity are revealed.
SEJODR subscribes to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been published before; that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else and that its publication has been approved by all co-authors.
Submitted manuscripts will be screened to detect and prevent plagiarism. Plagiarism, including duplicate publication of the author’s own work, in whole or in part without proper citation is not tolerated by the Journal. Authors have to take responsibility for any plagiarism presented in their article.

Authorship credit should be based on substantial contribution to conception and design, execution, analysis and interpretation of data. All authors should be involved in drafting the article or revising it critically for important scientific content. All authors must have read and approved the final version of the manuscript, and sign Author Statement. The editor reserves the right to request details of the contribution of each author to the article.
Any person involved in the research or manuscript preparation but who does not quality for authorship must be acknowledged at the end of the article.
All original research articles and reviews will be sent for external peer review.
All articles will be checked by the Editor before sending for peer review. If the article is out of scope or otherwise considered unsuitable for the Journal, it will be rejected without external review.
Articles being externally reviewed will be sent for at least 2 external reviewer reports. When these have been received the Editor will make a first decision.
The Authors are welcomed to suggest two reviewers, and also have the option to name unsuitable reviewers. Peer review process will not exceed more than 6 weeks.
